DENVER NATIONAL WESTERN POSTPONED
The National Western Stock Show has made the difficult decision to postpone the 115th National Western Stock Show by one year and to resume the event in January 2022. Read the press release HERE.


AGRIBITION 2020 VIRTUAL EVENTS
Earlier in the year Canadian Western Agribition announced that CWA's 50th show would be postponed until 2021 (read the release HERE). But for 2020, 3 digital experiences are planned to allow breeders to showcase their stock: the Agribition Evolution Series and a Junior Spotlight as well as a Commercial Cattle Exhibitor's Sale on Nov. 28. NEW TRAIT EPDS FOR CAA
Expect Canadian Angus Association registration certificates with EPDs for these new traits this fall: Residual Average Daily Gain (RADG); Docility EPD; Heifer Pregnancy EPD; Mature Weight EPD; Claw Set EPD and Foot Angle EPD. Further info on the CAA website HERE.


NEWS FROM THE CAA VIRTUAL AGM
Canadian Angus Association Board of Directors executive: Shawn Birmingham of Brandon, MB was elevated from the position of President Elect to President; Bob Hahn of Sherwood Park, AB moved into the Past President position, and Sheldon Kyle of Redvers, SK was chosen as President Elect. The Canadian Angus Foundation also announced the Dick Turner Scholarship Recipient, Junior Angus Stockman & Outstanding Young Angus Breeder at Canadian Angus Virtual AGM. For the winners, check out the release HERE.
